70 years of history
1953
Creation of the MALHERBE company by market gardener Michel MALHERBE: Normandy vegetable production company with a fleet of vehicles for its deliveries.
1973
Creation of the transport company MALHERBE. The company’s offering having developed around road transport for around ten years, the MALHERBE company specializes in transport, then in transport perishable data and agricultural goods.
1999
MALHERBE expands nationally and acquires several transport companies throughout the country. In 2001, the MALHERBE group was bought by Alain Samson, Chairman and CEO still today. New companies were acquired, new agencies were created and in 2005, MALHERBE reached the milestone of 100 million turnover.
2005
It’s time to get involved. A sustainable development policy has been put in place and is now becoming a daily guideline. In 2010, the group signed the “Objective CO2” charter with ADEME and committed to reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
The group’s trucks now travel abroad, particularly to Great Britain, Belgium and Italy. The MALHERBE group doubled its turnover in 2011 and further diversified its offering with new acquisitions (Le Gal, Grosdidier, Leroloc, Lerosey and Vincent, Axces).
2017
Conquering Brittany: MALHERBE buys the Breton TRANSPORTS BERNARD Group. The group’s turnover now exceeds 300 million Euros. Management decides to reconfigure its capital with the support of financial investors to continue its development.
2019
2022
Strengthening the territorial network by carrying out new external growth operations, and the acquisition of the company LM TRANS FRET, the Normand NORMATRANS Group, and the Sarthois ÉTOILE ROUTIÈRE Group.
2024
MALHERBE positions itself at European level via the acquisition of the 3rd Luxembourg carrier TLW Group.
