The expansion continues with the acquisition of LM Trans Fret

Malherbe, whose headquarters is located in Rots, near Caen (Calvados), is putting down roots in the Toulouse region with the acquisition of LM Trans Fret which brings it €7 million in activity.

Five years after acquiring the Bernard group (October 2017), Malherbe resumes its external growth strategy by purchasing the company LM Trans Fret located in Villeneuve-Tolosane near Toulouse (Haute-Garonne). “The signing took place on March 31”, specifies Noël Sanson, who heads the Norman group. The SME employs 35 employees, relies on a fleet of 25 vehicles ranging from vans (less than 3 tonnes) to truck cranes and achieves €7 million in turnover. It organizes its activity around three professions in the construction and trading sector (materials and equipment): regional and national chartering (€4.4 million turnover), the provision of vehicles with driver on short and medium term (€2.2 million) and logistics with a warehouse with a surface area of 3,000 m2 (400,000 euros turnover).

We wanted to establish ourselves in this region where we had not had any agencies for almost ten years, indicates the buyer. There was a real need. This company, established for around fifteen years, is well established. An opportunity to complete our territorial network and to have a point of support in this territory to manage all the vehicles passing through Toulouse. »

After this affiliation with the Malherbe group, the transferor Laurent Marquis continued to manage the company for six months before continuing partial support for six to twelve months on the commercial activity. “Buying a business is a technical and financial operation but also a human adventure. Any change is upsetting. Integration must therefore go as smoothly as possible,” declares Noël Sanson, who wanted this transition phase. The Norman group now intends to pursue its development ambitions through external growth.
